Carfree day
Now I have read this long list of ignorant comments, I am really getting angry.
Who is obstructing my mobility AS A PEDESTRIAN 365 days of the year? Cardrivers who park illegally on pedestrian sidewalks, cardrivers who park illegally on pedestrian crossings, cardrivers who ignore my priority on pedestrian crossings…
Who is obstructing my mobility AS A USER OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT 365 days of the year? Cardrivers blocking bus stops, cardrivers blocking bus lanes, cardrivers blocking tram beddings, cardrivers bypassing trams at the stop on the right side, while passengers get off the tram…
Who is obstructing my mobility AS A CYCLIST 365 days of the year? Cardrivers who open the door whithout looking back before, cardrivers who honk while I am trying to avoid car doors by riding in the middle of my lane, cardrivers who try to bypass me on MY lane (!), cardrivers who park on bicycle paths, cardrivers who ignore my priority at junctions …
And those cardrivers find it appropriate to be upset by ONE SINGLE carfree day per year (decided by other cardrivers in the European institutions – do not forget, that this is an EU initiative, which is only followed very late by Brussels now)?
Millions of people do all their daily ways without a car – how could somebody pretend that would be impossible one single sunday??
I invite everybody who is as upset as me viewing all these ignorant comments to join us at: www.placeovelo.collectifs.net
