Solutionism
“Solutionism takes problems from social and political domains and recalibrates them as issues to be dealt with by technology alone. … Privacy and civil liberties are brushed aside: technological bypasses to political, social, and legal problems present themselves everywhere as progress. Who rules the internet on whose behalf, as ridiculously archaic as the question may sound, is a political and legal issue hijacked by solutionism.”
