In New York wurde er Vater von Rhoda Elisabeth Bubendey (1914 - 2003) und Paul Frederick (1911 - 2009). Rhoda Elisabeth studierte nach ihrer Schulzeit Literatur und war später als Redakteurin bei "Oxford University Press" und als Schriftstellerin tätig. Weiter forschte sie im Bereich verschiedener Kulturen und Gesellschaftsformen, wodurch ihr 1951 der Doktortitel verliehen und Sie zu einer anerkannten Anthropologin wurde. Während des 2. Weltkriegs leitete Rhoda Elisabeth dann den Bereich zur Erforschung der "Moral der Deutschen" für das US Office of Strategic Services (OSS) und half somit den Alliierte sich selbst und den Gegner zu verstehen. Fred of Oak Harbor, Vero Beach, FL was born in Brooklyn, NY. He was a graduate of Polytechnic Preparatory Country Day School (1929), and Columbia College (1933) where he joined the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity. His business career began in 1933 with the Corn Exchange Bank in New York which merged with Chemical Bank in 1954 at which time he joined the International division and was responsible for opening branches in London, Milan, Frankfurt, Singapore and Taiwan. He returned in 1974 as Senior Vice President. He saw active duty in the U.S. Naval Reserve 1943-46 as Commanding Officer of LSM 269 in the Pacific Theater and retired as Captain, USNR in 1971. He was a member of the Riomar Country Club in Vero Beach, The Wee Burn Club in Darien, CT, The Rockaway Hunting Club in Lawrence, Long Island, NY and the Oak Harbor Club in Vero Beach. He was preceded in death in October 1984 by his first wife Clara Barclay Onativia and by his second wife Shirley Smith in January 2005. He is survived by daughter Clara Baur, daughter Madeleine Geoghegan, son Paul Jr., step-sons Peter Orrick (wife Cindy and sons), Chris Orrick and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Oak Harbor Club in April, date TBA; an interment at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. She attended Rosemary Hall, Greenwich, CT and Syracuse University, College of Fine Arts majoring in Illustration. She was a member of Alpha Phi. She was married to Henry Abert Orrick III of Baltimore from 1942 to 1952. She was a trustee of The Syracuse Museum of Fine Arts (now Everson Museum) and taught and exhibited there. She was an original Trustee of The Rosamund Gifford Foundation in Syracuse for over 30 years and a member of the Junior League. She married William Holbrook in 1954 and moved to Darien, CT where she became interested in ceramics at The Silvermine Art School. This interest led to making wrought iron tile tables depicting homes, gardens, boats, etc. for individual customers. In Darien, she was active in The Republican Club, The Tokeneke Club and Wee Burn Country Club. Two years after the death of William Holbrook, she married James Ramsey Minor of Cincinnati, Ohio. They moved permanently to Vero Beach, FL spending summers in CT and Traverse City, MI. She continued her art doing mainly portraits. She belonged to the Vero Beach Art Club, Rowayton Art Center, American Impressionist Society and The American Society of Portrait Painters. In Vero Beach, she was also a former Board Member of The Riverside Theatre and belonged to The Riomar Country Club. Mr. Minor died in 1983. In 1987, she married Paul Frederick Bubendey who survives her.
