- The Gazette - OFFENBAR NAMENSVERAENDERUNG: "AS Solicitors for OLIVER CURTIS CLEGG h*re -tofore called Otto Kurt Hoffmann, of Farley Lodge, Cavendish-road, Bowdon, in the county of Chester, a British subject, born in Manchester, we hereby give public notice, that on the 29th day of August, 1918, the said Oliver Curtis Clegg, absolutely relinauished and abandoned the use of his said name of Otto Kurt Hoffmann, and then assumed and determined thenceforth on all occasions to use and subscribe the name of Oliver Curtis Clegg instead of the said name of Otto Kurt Hoffmann; and we give further notce, that by a deed poll dated the 29th day of August, 1918, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Central Office of the Supreme Court on the 12th day of September, 1918, the said Oliver Curtis Clegg formally renounced the said name Otto Kurt Hoffmann, and declared that he had adopted and intended thenceforward to use the name of Oliver Curtis Clegg instead of Otto Kurt Hoffmann, and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known and described by the name of Oliver Curtis Clegg exclusively. - Dated this 13th day of September, 1918.
